Multiple Sclerosis as a Qualifying Condition
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is among the best-supported indications for medical cannabis worldwide. Sativex, a THC:CBD oromucosal spray, is approved in over 25 countries specifically for MS-related spasticity. While not yet approved in the US, it reflects the substantial evidence base for cannabis in MS management.
NJ patients with all forms of MS — relapsing-remitting, secondary progressive, primary progressive — qualify for the medical cannabis program, particularly when they experience spasticity, pain, or other symptoms not adequately controlled by disease-modifying therapies or standard symptomatic medications.
Symptoms Cannabis May Help
